Week 5 of the chess league took place at Panera Bread in Everett on April 1st, 2023 where the Lynnwood Pandas took on the Everett Koalas. Through the first two rounds the match was tied at 4-4 but the Lynnwood Pandas rallied in the last two rounds to win the match by a narrow two point margin.  This was the closest match we’ve had all season and showed that both teams were evenly matched. Congrats to the Pandas and thanks to all who came out to play and made this a fun day! The league matches conclude next week when the undefeated Mukilteo Chipmunks take on the Lake Stevens Slugs at Lake Stevens.
